What Is personal

HYGIENE ?

Personal hygiene basically means personal cleanliness, mainte-

nance of health and good habits to prevent spread of disease

causing organisms.

GROOMING STANDARDS

There some protocols that each employee including the food han-

dler needs to follow for assurance of personal hygiene. Below are
mentioned the some easy grooming standards.

The food handlers should ensure that they bath regularly.

Hands must always be kept clean. Nails should be

kept trimmed and use of nail polish/enamel

should be avoided.

Food handlers shall avoid wearing jewellery

during food handling or else before

entering food preparation premises

remove rings, earrings, necklace,

bangles, wrist watch, any

religious thread etc.

All food handlers must wear

clean uniform while on duty.
